9 months old
The days of the jolly jumper are numbered!
Sorley's getting bored of his door swing. It's a good job I captured on film the spinning moments when I did because now he's not much interested in hanging in our doorway, preferring the freedom to crawl about and explore the livingroom and practice standing by himself.
That's him now 9 months old. Got his length measured the other day and he's verging on the 98th percentile which means out of a hundred boys born the same time as him, he'll be the 2nd or 3rd tallest - he is 73 and a half cm. I certainly already knew he was a tall boy as he's in 12-18 month bodysuits!
He eats well, last month when my cousin was visiting with her little girl we all went out to dinner. I ordered a kids meal for Sorley which was fishfingers, potatoes and beans, mashed it all up for him and he eat around three/quarters of the entire meal! If I'm eating out for lunch I order a baked potato and tuna because Sorley adores it and I can share it with him but now I'm going to have to order a separate meal for him because these days all I get to eat is the potato skin and salad!
He's being saying mum and muma for a while now and is just about getting the hang of 'dada'. He still comes out with the occasional 'madmum' and the other day 'dada' came out as 'dude', so mum and dad is now officially madmum and dude!
I was invited by the religious, moral and philosophical education department (in my day it was just RE!) at the local secondary school to give an introductory to moral philosophy talk to the fifth and sixth year higher class. I actually quite enjoyed it. I practiced my talk on Sorley but I'm not quite sure he was paying attention!
Here's a pic of Sorley with his big cousins one who is going into 2nd year uni, the other starting her 1st year at uni, and wee S who has just started primary school. It's nice to have this pic of them all together. And yes I know there's a weird looking monkey behind them!

It sounds like your little man is a real meat n' taters type of guy! That is wonderful he is such a good eater.
Wow, you are going to certainly treasure those videos of Sorley..Once little ones get to crawling about, it is hard for them to sit still! So much of the world to explore, you know!
