(1) My Birthday, Wedding anniversary and Christmas are all within 3 weeks of each other making December officially my month, though now it's mine and Sorley's month seeing how he held off to the 1st of December to be born!

(2) I was in a labour ward playing cards with my mum and mum-in-law inbetween contractions when I should have been attending a graduation ceremony for my masters degree!

(3) I'm passionate about poetry - reading and writing!

(4) I love, I mean LOVE, good food - the way to my heart is definitely through my stomach - just ask my husband!

(5) I only ever wash my dishes in boiling water - if the water is cool enough to handle without rubber gloves then it's definitely not hot enough for washing dishes!

(6) It feels like a waste of a cup of coffee if I have no chocolate biscuits to dip in it, though in order to beat the belly my new mantra is 'coffee for coffee's sake' - I say this aloud to myself when making a coffee to help resist the biscuit temptation, sometimes it works!

(7) I have a collie-cross named Clyde after the river that flows past my town.

Oops...I forgot to make a couple of comments last evening, as I am STILL recovering from this blasphemous cold *thing*!

Well, your birthday is upcoming soon, as well as little Sorley's!

I cannot believe you played cards while in labor! That is too funny! Is your Master's in literature?

I am with you on the food...BUT, I sure wish I had a cook who would make it for me!!! hehehe I just don't like being in the kitchen that much. I like to nibble FAR
too much...

Oh, I used to always wash the dishes with rubber gloves. Never liked the idea of a dishwasher, as it seems they always leave little "crusties" on the dishes. Anyway, one day my neighbor made a comment I looked like Mickey Mouse in my yellow rubber gloves when I stepped outside the house while wearing them. Ugh...the humiliation! hehehe

I definitely share your love of good food. Instead of a coffee mantra, I've been needing to recite a food mantra quite a bit lately. "It's just food" seems to help me walk away when I want to stuff my face. I guess it helps me remember that even though food should be enjoyable, it is ultimately for health and survival and that I shouldn't use it as something to pass the timw when I'm bored or to make me feel better when I'm down. It's tough, though!
